You can be a nice guy but you lack ambition. Ambition is a deal breaker to most ladies.

What is ambition? The synonym for ambition is GREED.

Contentment was a virtue in the Old Testament, now it all about MORE.

Not many ladies would be content with a simple life, that was a thing before independence, today; you will have ladies line up if you can talk big.

Talk of land, cars, business, stock market is almost an aphrodisiac to ladies today.

You are more attractive if you own a house, less attractive if you rent.

You are more attractive if you drive, less attractive when you own a motorcycle.

You are more attractive when you have 5 year plan, less attractive when you HOPE!!

Ambition seems to be the password. May be I should try be more ambitious, or maybe not.

Do I plan to build a house? No, I plan to live on trees like my ancestors.

Do I plan to buy a car? No, I’ll be jumping from tree to tree.

Do I have a plan for my life? No, I’m just a product of the evolutionary process.

I don’t have ambition, a toast, to those of us that lack ambition.

In 2020, things did not go as planned. But we are still hopeful.

2020 had a few flings, potential leads, a few heartaches or even heartbreaks but all that is in the past now, the best we can do is learn from that experience.

You met this person and thought it would work but for some reason it did not. You met this other person and you were excited but nothing came of it, and now, you are taking stock asking yourself, “Will anything ever work?”

Not being able to find love gets more frustrating especially when you are ready, and at times, desperate to love.

There are times love is a good idea, something you don’t mind having, but there are times love is something you need not just want.

2020 I was ready to love, I was eager to love; maybe the people I wanted to love failed to notice the eagerness or misinterpreted it for desperation.

Don’t be ashamed about your quest for love, it’s a noble quest. Our hearts are often restless until they find love.

Think of the quest for love as birth pains, it gets uncomfortable for a while but when a mother holds that new born in her arms, she forgets the pain.

The same goes for love, the quest might have a few disappointments along the way, but when you find love, you barely remember that guy that never paid for a date.

2021, you have to show up. Best foot forward, hit the gym, take that class, join that youth group, visit that love market often.

If online dating is your thing, upload better pictures, fill out that profile, have the courage of texting a guy you like, have faith in someone.

In 2021, try investing in a relationship, do you find yourself in a place where losing them is not painful and getting them is not exciting? Then you need to go all in.

They will say hallo, you will say hallo back, you exchange numbers, a few dates and who knows, talk of a future.

To those who did not find love in 2020, 2021 is a good year to continue searching.

They could have left, but they chose to stay.

The doors were open to freedom, but they chose bondage for a reason.

When it’s tough to love, when there’s one argument after another, when love is on the decline, when there is hurt and an opportunity to leave presents itself, what do you do?

We get a picture of who wants to be in our life when we fling the doors wide open.

True love is always an open door.

When we open the doors, and some choose to stay, then we can safely conclude these people want to be in our lives.

Is there a chance we have friends who are in our lives because we have closed them in?

Is there a chance we are dating people who are just with us because they fear by leaving they will hurt us?

Is there a chance our best friends are just our best friends because they have always been our best friends?

Open the doors and see who chooses to stay.
